Client: John Fowler
Launched: 2006
When the John Fowler group, leading manufacturers of industrial filters, developed an anti pollution mask for everyday use and approached us for a branding and packaging solution, we critically evaluated the product and its shortcomings. The hand tailored look combined with the choice of fabric covering did not look set to win the appeal of target consumers, the two-wheeler riders including college students and young professionals in their 30’s. We advised the client to re-work the product, consciously imbuing it with a hi-tech finish and a sporty appeal.

Once the client stylishly reworked the product, our branding development was consciously focused on ensuring a dramatic, discernable introduction in the overcrowded retail environments and presenting the right mix of attributes & usability at a glance.

Icarus developed a seamlessly integrated structural packaging and graphic solution. Structurally, the pack was optimized to ensure a single size worked across variants thereby resulting in economies of tooling and processing. At the point of purchase, the polygonal structure of the pack allows retailers multiple display options - hanging, stacking- front or sideways, without compromising on the readability of the brand name and offers a view of the product in any of these positions.
